I got this shade canopy mostly for when I want to wash, wax or work on the vehicles in my driveway because it's in the sun most of the day. It'll work in the yard too. It has a stronger looking frame than I expected so I'm pretty happy with it for the money.

how much room does that give you to work with the car?

be careful. those things like to get blown over by the wind even when staked down. the feet on those are really good at scratching cars.

Yes those act like a giant kite a few years ago one of those things impaled a woman on the beach be careful

Yeah, I hear you guys. I tried to drive the Runner under it today and it's about a foot short. I'll make 4, foot high boxes and screw it down on them. That should give it some stability as well as necessary height. The pic showing the roof rack is with it up on the wood blocks. It just clears. EDIT: A true DUH moment. I didn't notice that I had the legs at their lowest setting. I get about 8" more length on the highest setting so all I have to do is put them on some 4X4 blocks.
