Bouncy Toy Tec Boss Coilovers

I've had my Toy Tec Boss Coil Overs for about 4 years now. I decided to upgrade my tire size to 285/75/17s and to level out the front end of my rig a bit more for clearance. After doing so I ended up with a very bouncy front end. When the front end was about 1/4" lower it was nice and smooth. Is this because there is so much tension on the springs now or because I'm not dropping 3Gs on epic front end suspension with resevoirs? Also I had to raise my driver side coilover about a 1 1/4" higher than the passenger to achieve equal ride height on both sides. What's up with that? Any help would be great and thanks! A bit more info might be helpful, do you have KDSS? What's your current center of hub to fender measurements on each side?
So in order to raise one side of your rig 1/4" you had to raise the coilover 1 1/4"? Am I understanding that correctly?
To answer the bouncy question yes it's possible to have to much pre load on the coil and result in a lousy ride.

And yes if you drop 3g's on suspension it makes a difference. But honestly the 4 year old Boss setup isn't that great and might be wore out. You could spend less than 3 g's on a front end suspension and still improve your ride quality.

I drove my Boss suspension into the ground, literally 100k miles before one of the coil overs died in my driveway. If you went four years, I’d assume that’s like 60k miles. Probably close to time for something new, I went with remote resi w/ adjusters but you don’t need that!

Adjusting your coil overs will change the ride, the shocks and spring rate can make a massive difference in quality of ride. If the springs are right then focus on shocks. But as [MENTION=98117]comtn4x4[/MENTION] said it’ll help knowing a bit more to diagnose.

Wouldn't raising the front end change the front to back weight ratio...putting more to the rear and less to the front? That would make the front seem bouncy. Just a thought.
