bracket on rear axle no longer connected

I have a different yet similar question. My 2003 4R V8 limited had a major issue with a bracket on the rear diff. Where the air shock sits on the axle and where the long control arm? connect, broke off clean on a road trip. Any idea where a new bracket can be found? Other than cannibalizing a similar vehicle and welding it on, can this part be located anywhere? Either my search skills are lacking or a replacement does not exist. Thanks!

That would be the bracket for the Panhard rod. Doesn't look like it is available separately from Toyota. You would need a complete new/used axle housing or have a replacement part fabricated and welded on.

The 4th gen guys will probably be better at helping you figure out what parts might be compatible.

I didn't notice the rust that I Had on my daily driver 200k FJ cruiser....neither did the tire shop, the brake shop, or the oil change workers.

I know I'm an idiot for not maintaining my rig myself, but I am a volunteer youth coach year round in a rural area of eastern Ky, so i find that I'm too pre-occupied to do my own work.

Anyway, yesterday one of my students "dropped" a pair of scissors near my FJ. I picked them up in my tire and got a flat. Luckily when we were changing it, we noticed my bracket was broken on the passenger side. I know it had to have been broken for several months because I recall a popping when hard deceleration/acceleration on the highway back in the summer (I drive less than 10k a year now). This may have been a lifesaver for me or my kids.

I found these brackets and one of my coworkers and fellow coaches is a shop teacher here at school, he is going to weld these on for me once they are modified to fit the OEM rear-end.
