Brake bleeding

I had it on. The engine doesn't have to be running, but it might help if your battery is getting old. The brake booster seems to draw some significant power.
For the rears the system will pump fluid through for you. Just hold down the pedal and it pumps it out. Don't go too long or you could overheat the solenoids. If you use the scan tool you can only activate it for 2 seconds every 20 seconds, which is annoying.
Don't let the fluid run out. It might beep when the fluid gets low, but I'm not sure. It only beeped sometimes, and I couldn't figure out exactly why.
The fronts have to be done the old fashioned way, pumping the pedal. Probably still best to have the ignition on so you don't confuse the system. Don't push the pedal too far or you could damage the seals inside the master cylinder.
