Brake Caliper Stuck?

Ok, I'm not sure exactly what to search for this issue...need y'alls expertise.

When I come to a stop, then let go of the brakes to start moving again, the truck won't creep forward. It "feels" like the driver side caliper is stuck. When I step on the gas, the truck will hesitate for a moment then I'll hear a "thunk" sound as if the caliper just broke loose, then the truck moves forward freely. What could be causing this?

A little history, this issue occurred with the stock brakes. I recently did the big brake upgrade, and it still does it. I changed the brake fluid in the reservoir, but didn't completely bleed the old fluid in the lines. Please help!

make sure its not your rear brakes. the parking brake bell cranks are known to seize.

try pushing in the piston and if there is a lot of resistance theres your problem. a bad hydraulic hose can also give you the impression of a seized caliper as it acts as sort of a one way check valve and doesnt allow the pistons to retract.

You should have told me. I would have helped. Sounds like you still have hydraulic pressure. Did you bleed the front brakes completely? Did you do the proper breaking in process?

You should have told me. I would have helped. Sounds like you still have hydraulic pressure. Did you bleed the front brakes completely? Did you do the proper breaking in process?

Thanks, yeah I shoulda called. I didn't fully bleed the brakes. I pinched off the brake line so I wouldn't lose fluid during the change. I'm going to buy speed bleeders tomorrow and bleed the whole system. Cleaned out the reservoir yesterday and the fluid was BLACK. Btw, I got lazy and didn't paint the calipers. Shoulda listened to you...rusted already, ha.

I'm on the you got a bad brake hose on one of the front calipers.

Don't pinch the hoses. It's not good for them.
