Brake creaking

so I recently noticed my brakes creaking sound when I Move from P -> R when parking on a hill. I thought I was doing something wrong.
- so I decided to google some stuff. Is this right?

Yes, your google search is the same procedure described in your 4Runner's owners manual, with the exception that Toyota states to feather the accelerator before releasing the parking brake when leaving your parking spot, but I would think that is intended for steep grades. You’re not wanting to put the weight of the vehicle on the transmission's parking pawl.
