Brake issue?

Just bought my first 4Runner about two months ago, an '02 sport and love it. Went on a trip down near Mexico last week and the brakes now shutter and shake the wheel when I put moderate pressure on the pedal. They were fine up till then and it started suddenly. Just wondering if this is a common issue or any ideas on what it could be.

Probably warped rotors. I'm dealing with this same problem on ours. Verify it's not the backs by applying the e brake at speed. If it slows down the 4r smoothly then that confirms it's the fronts.

Can also be wheel bearings but more likely rotors.

I had same exact problem when I bought my 4runner it should be warped rotors.
