Brake Pedal Height Confirmation

Hi,

I think I do have a sticky brake. My Haynes manual has a list of possible culprits and the top of the list is Brake Pedal Height.

Haynes suggests 6.3"-6.7".

Mine is currently ~5.5"-6.0" but after lifting the carpet there is a rubbery sheet behind that is more difficult to remove.

Before I start wrenching away could I get confirmation of the height and where it is measured from; ie don't compress the rubber or ???

158.1 - 168.1 mm (6.224 - 6.618 in.)
