Brake Swap: 96 t100 to 99 4runner limited ?

I believe the main significance of the TBU is the thickness if the rotors allowing the brakes to stay cooler and avoid warping, as well as larger brake pad surface. Might want to look into the T-100 stock rotor thickness. Plus, I don't know if those calipers would be a direct bolt on with a 4Runner.

give it a quick fit shot-won't take long to find out first hand. From what i read, 96-02 tundies had 2 types of calipers that fit 4rnrs (w/some minor tweaks-see below), one a 199 and the other a 231.

The ones he's asking about are from a T100, not a Tundra. The 96-02 reference is about 3rd gen 4Runners, not Tundras.
OP, make it easy on yourself - get what you can for the T100 brake parts you have and put that money towards the Tundra brake upgrade. It's tested and proven, and if you have any issues with the install there is plenty of information posted about it here to help get you through it.
