Brake, VSC and Trac lights.....

So i get in my 4runner today (2007) and the e brake light will not go off. I step on and off the e brake two or three times...and it just stays on. I drive down the road less than two minutes and the VSC off and TRAC lights come on also. What's going on? I did a quick search here and found something similar to this problem, but frankly it didn't make much sense to me......sorry, over my head.

I installed a DayStar 2.5/1.5 suspension spacer lift the other day and now my VSC, TRAC and EBRAKE lights are stuck on as well.

Im guessing that one of the sensors got unplugged or maybe just got some dirt in them. I was also told to take it into the dealership for a "zero point calibration test" and have them reset the computer.

Is there a Toyota dealership in your area? Its likely just a dirty sensor or something..

if you need a new sensor it's like 225. Don't ask me how i know :brick:

The Zero point calibration is very is to do. All you need is a small piece of wire and the instructions.

The Parking Brake Warning Light is controlled by the Parking Brake Warning Switch (oem part #8455004020).

SWITCH ASSY, PARKING BRAKE. TOYOTA Tacoma (2005 - 2012) # 8455004020, 8455030080

The Parking Brake is mechanical. The only way I see it effecting the traction system is if it is engaged and causing a lot of drag on that one wheel.

The warning light switch is located on the brake pedal. Easiest check is to pull it off and check continuity by opening and closing the circuit.

Think I've got it figured out. I had a brake job done about two weeks ago, I checked the brake fluid reservoir and its a little low. I'm embarrassed to say I don't have any brake fluid at home, but once I get some and top it off I'm betting the lights go out.

I'm going to dig this one back up. So did topping off the brake fluid work? I'm having the same issue with my 2007. An update would be awesome.
