Brakelight, Check Engine, ABS, VSC TRAC and VSC Off lights

This morning I got into my 06 4runner and the brake light, traction control, VSC Trac and VSC off lights where all on. Turned the car off and then back on and all fine. Then on the drive home the brake light, ASC off, ABS Check engine where all on and the speedometer was not working. I just put the progressive snapshot thing in my car so I pulled it out and the speedometer worked and the brake light when off. I took off the auto zone and had them tell me what code was and it was P0500 Speed sensor and maybe its just in my head but it felt like it was idling low. Thought I would pull the battery, I am a AV guy and cutting power can fix all kind of problems, and then cleaned the terminal. Now everything looks fine other then it still is idling low. Also I checked the gas cap and filled the tires. So could the snapshot be the problem or just bad timing? what would make different light come on then other the next time and mt speedometer stop working? Could my speed sensor be going out?

More than once people have posted about cheap OBD2 devices causing the dash lights and CEL to come on. Sounds like how ever that progressive device is pulling data from the OBD2 your truck is revolting to it. Send the device back and buy your insurance from someone cheaper.
