Braking Enigma

Has anyone come across a similar problem? I checked past posts but saw nothing. Any ideas?

I changed out my front brakes and rotors on my '03 v8 limited, last week. It was smooth. But when I brake at 50mph or higher, the steering wheel shuffles left and right constantly until I lift off it or slow down below 45mph. Doesn't pull to just one side. Its worse the harder I break. It was not doing this before the break change.

In an attempt to solve, I have replaced both calipers and even a break line. All new parts, and I bled the lines properly. I also had a full realignment. the only thing i didn't replace was the shims. rotors were properly cleaned before use. Tires were all a little low on pressure, but were equal to each other. Lugs are tightened to recommended torque. I plan to change rear brakes soon, too, but haven't touched them yet.

Some have suggested
1. warped new rotors (but won't I feel this at low speeds if i break hard?)
2. something wrong with ABS
3. bad tie-rods

any ideas?

Rotors are most likely cause in that scenario (didn't shake before). Change those before anything else. What brand/grade rotors?

Wearever brand. Only ones that Advance Auto had. don't know the grade.

First, it's brakes, not breaks.
The ABS suggestion may not be as strange as it seems.
If you did not bleed the system properly after replacing the calipers and line, the ABS may not be working properly. There is a specific order to bleed the system (check the FSM), and with ABS it's more complex. Typically you have to bleed the heck out of it with engine off, then running, then off again. That's the minimum.
If your truck has the ABS built into the MC, it's way more complex. Toyota uses a special control box to activate the various solenoids throughout the procedure.

I just changed my front pads, and had the same problem, it's been about two days now and it has gone away, I thought it might be rotors as well. But I think it might have just been needing time to bed in the brakes
