Saturday was my first time on snow covered roads with the'03 and I was very impressed. The roads were already plowed, but the strong winds had re-covered many areas with snow. Anyway, I decided to see how the ABS worked. Downhill at about 30 mph I nailed the brakes on all snow...only a slight ticking noise from the ABS, (previous Audi made a Godawful noise), and the vehicle stopped straight as an arrow. No tendency to go sideways into a skid at all. I'm guessing the Skid Control was probably coming into play also????
Bottom line...what an impressive and confidence inspiring vehicle this is when stopping on snow! And I still have the "No-Seasons" on.
Can't wait to see how this baby goes through a foot or more of unplowed.
