Breaking in my new Revos

Ok I'm sitting at my office itching for it to be 5pm because during my lunch break I dropped my t4r off at the dealership to have them install the revo's i special ordered yesterday. Personally, I've never driven a car with new tires and I was wondering if there is anything I should take into consideration driving on my new revos.

By the way, for those interested, I only went to the dealer because they surprisingly had the best price ($528 for 4 265/70/r16's plus I'm going to pay another $150 or so for installation) The only reason they had the best price was because of a buy 3 get one free deal, otherwise they're way overpriced. Also, they're one of the few shops around with the Hunter gsp9700 balancing machine with a Hawka adapter, which i've heard fixes balancing issues that cause shake with 4runners and I'm sick and tired of the shake. Ther is not much of a "breakin' in" for tires.

Just drive them like usual. All tires will have a bit of greasy feel on the surface that is the lubricant used to release the tire from the mold. Just don't expect max traction for about 50 miles to wear off the grease.

$150 to balance and mount sounds kinda rich. Tirerack end installers nroammy charge about $20-25/tire plus nickel and dime you wiht $5 for vales and disposal fees and that is with a Hunter Roadforce 9700 machine...

Make sure that they actually installed Dueler AT Revos and not just Dueler ATs.

And you can always tell, because

the tires say "REVO" in black on the sidewall right after the "Bridgestone Dueler A/T" logo.

ANd of course the tread pattern is so different there should not be any confusion.

yea, that was definately the first thing i checked when they gave me it back. I asked for the raised white lettering but got the all black, but i think i'm glad i did because they look so hot.

Anyway, I've already done more than the 50 miles of breaking in, i put about 100 on it today, 80 with the revos. I LOVE the revos. It rides so much better. and for the first time i can remember (at least since i got it from my dad) my t4r doesn't shake a lot at high speeds, there is no shake at all.

I am so happy with the revos and the installation (so far...knock on wood). Handles so nicely, rides so nicely and looks so good. Now i'm itching to go offroading but unfortunately i don't know of any good places around me (i live in washington dc, if anyone knows some places, let me know, and if you live around here, lets go!)
