Hey thanks man. Hearing things like that are really nice.
I've owned the truck since 2002 and only really started to mod it with sliders and bumpers around early 2010.
Coming updates .....

Pictures of my RUST PATROL job on the front and rear wheel components
* Spray and wipe everything with brake cleaner before applying primer.
* I used SEM spray paint but, sprayed both primer and paint into 2 cups and then brushed on the paint - very carefully.
* Top layer is SEM Aluminum XRP.
* Last pic is "after"

Super clean truck, and what a build. I've read it before, and needed to go through it again for inspiration. One of my favorites on here (bookmarked and sub'd!). Very tasteful mods and the indepth write ups are excellent. Kudos to you on such a good looking truck! Lots of man hours but a great result.
Looking forward to more high-res picture p0rn as summer rolls around. I enjoy your photography skills as well, as I learn the art and hobby.

One day you must do the Tundra (231mm) upgrade. Night and day difference. I do wonder if those calipers will clear your new rims though.

Hey Brian, you and I have the same sized Flag sticker on our front bumpers. I'm down to my last sticker. I got them at a local store that doesn't carry them any more.
Did you find yours online??
I need a new source for good weather resistant Flag stickers.

Funny thing you should ask. I've actually bought several stickers on EBAY / Amazon lately and the quality has varied quite a bit.
I just bought one of each of these and I found the ink quality to be quite good. I also like the "weathered" look of the flag.

Update:
I just painted the set of my five stars this weekend. My plan is to either sell these or keep them as a set of trail wheels.
Here's my dilemma ... I didn't think I could get wheels looking this good with just Duplicolor. Now I'm wondering if I should just re-sell my Level-8s and put these back on. Then I'd get a good portion of my $600 back and if I scratch them up ----- I can just touch it up right on the wheel. Touching up the Level 8s will be hard as hell since I would have to repaint all 4 wheels.
I know I'm crazy right@!

Thanks for the nice comments everyone.
I mounted the painted wheels and it mostly turned out well.
Some of the paint smudged a bit when they mounted the wheels. I guess 5 days wasn't enough time to fully cure against hard blows.
Also my right rear wheel will not balance. I've probably been driving with it that way for a while. The balancing machine called for 18 oz of weight. They said I should just find a new used wheel. They did the best they could and I will call around looking for a wheel. In the mean time I will drive on it.
Other semi-bad news: my drivers side rear brake drum heated up so hot sometime in the last month that the paint on the drums burned. This probably means 400+ F and it is still probably out of adjustment.

I'm not sure what type of balancing but he said the wheel was physically bent and when spinning I was able to see the wobble and agreed that it was bent.
I'm sure I can find one. It should be OK.

But I'm sure you could find one in San Diego too. At least if you ever wanted you could have a nice painted rim for a rear tire carrier.
