Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 3

I’m still very pleased with them. Have 9700 miles on my set and they still look like new. Ride smooth and very good traction in the rain and last nights slick roads. In my opinion, definitely the best Revo Bridgestone has put out so far. To TeryT’s point, we don’t know yet on how long they will last, but my wear has been minimal. Based on what I’m seeing so far, there is no question I would buy them again.

I had Revos on my Ram. I hit numerous curbs in drive throughs and not a mark on any sidewall. Hit a curb on my SRA crap tires and you could see belt.

I am surprised how large they look on the t4r. I remember they looked larger on the Ram than the stock Wranglers.

Yes, I would say they are similar to the Bridgestone’s that came on T4R ORP once I found the right PSI for them. Might be a touch bit louder as you would expect with the more aggressive tread pattern. Agree, not sure why they don’t have the snowflake on them. They are better in the snow that the BFG’s I had in the past. That said, I still go with a dedicated snow tire up here in the winter. Will probably go with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 SUV’s.

What PSI did you end up running with these? I just put a set on my SR5 - replacing the stock tires.

I'm still breaking them in, but I found that these rode VERY rough on the highway at 34 psi, which is what the tech recommended...

other than that, I love the look of them...They give my truck a much more aggressive look.

Did you get the E rated? Mine are the E’s and were set a 36psi from the shop. I thought they felt a little soft. After messing around with them, I settled at 42 psi. That seemed to be the best ride for me.

I’ve had Revo 3s for about 7k miles. Have driven around Uwharrie and dirt trails around the Smokies, through some good rain storms and a few snow storms. I’m really happy with them. There are certainly more aggressive ATs but for what I put them through they do the job well and without much noise.

Did you get the p rated ones. I need to replace my Toyo at2s. These,the cooper at3 and the general atx are in my short list. Do you have any pictures of them. The ones that MSU_spartan posted are the only ones I’ve seen on a 4runner

Are there any more updates on the revo 3? There are only 12 reviews of them on tire rack. I am ready to buy tires to mount on 17s and I’m down to these and the continental terraincontacts, which have a lot of good reviews. I had the original revos and the revo 2 on my first 4R with basically the same results as most...longevity decreased with the revo 2 but still a very good tire. I’ve never had great results with any conti tire and this is their first attempt, so no real long term reviews, which makes me hesitant.

I signed up to this forum just to thank you. I was undecided if I was going to get another set of Revo's after the performance of my Revo 2's and your glowing reports convinced me to try them again.

I currently have an '06 Grand Cherokee and purchased my Revo 2's in September of 2014. Since then I've put 35,210 miles on them and while there is some tread left, they are dry rotting and I didn't feel safe with them. Not with the torrential rain we get in South Louisiana. I loved the Revo 1's and went through 2 sets on my Jeep Liberty until she dropped a valve seat at around 350,000 miles.

I had my Revo 3's installed yesterday and so far they feel sublime compared to the 2's they replaced. I don't do much off-roading so I got the P245 65/17's as I'm more of a pavement pounder but need a capable and competent tire.

Yes, I would be interested in hearing about the Revo 3 long-term experience as well!

I ran the original Revo for several years on my 4th gen 4R and loved them, but when they went to the Revo 2 I didn't get very good longevity, so I was looking for a different tire. The Revo 3 had just come out when I needed to replace, but not much was known on them at the time. So I switched to the Yoko Geolander GO15 AT and have had them on just over two years. The Geo is a very good and popular tire with great reviews on Tirerack.com. It is a really good street tire (very good in wet & dry) which has done just fine the times I've been offroad. It also carries the snow rating, which I like as I might get by without having to put chains on if encountering snow (many states will let you go without chaining up if the snow symbol is on the tire).

The Revo 3 is getting really good reviews on Tirerack. It is, however, one of the pricier AT tires out there. And it's still probably a little too new to get a feel whether they fixed the mileage issue many complained about with the Revo 2. It also doesn't carry the snowflake symbol - even though many reviewers said it does well in snow. But the price difference amounts to more than $150 between a set of four Revo 3s and a set of Geos. I'm waiting to see if the price of the Revos comes down and if people make it full distance on these tires. Then maybe I'll consider . . . but until then, the Geo is a fine tire that seems to suit all my needs - hopefully I'll get the full 60k miles out of them.

Well, while we're waiting, the Geolandar A/T is another on my list. Am curious how well it tracks. Not a fan of tires that like to wander while going down the highway. I have to say that the KO2s handled that very well. Do you have any cons at all with the Yokos?

You know, I really don't have any cons yet with the Geolandar. I'm considering it as a very good, all-around AT at a really good price-point. This is with 85% of the driving over the last two years being in usually dry Arizona, but I've also pulled a trailer around Colorado in some storms during that time. They've been on pavement most of the time, a little light offroad here & there and very little actual 4x4 duty.

I've put 22k miles on them since new and they have about 7-8 32nds of tread left. I'm not sure this will translate to the 60k they're supposed to get (a little doubtful), but we will see.

Interesting. Seems like they're wearing a little quick. I have approximately 7/32nds on my KO2s at 53k miles. That's starting at 15/32nds. On 99.9% paved roads. The KO2s have been great but now starting to get loud, hard, and rain challenged. Just wanting to get something more "street", p metric, better rain performance, while staying with an A/T. Who knows, I might go back to the KO2s. I still have a few miles left in these before I have to figure it out.

Yes, it seems a little much wear. They started at 13/32, so six 32nds in 22k = 3,666 miles per 32nd. That only works out to less than 35,000 miles until they reach 4/32! I saved about $160 on them verses a set of Revo 3s, so we'll hafta see if that cheaper price makes sense. (then again I only got 45k on my last set of Revo 2s)

7k on my Revo 3, stock size , 19 ORP. They were good up until about 5k miles and the first rotation. Now they’ve gone to crap. Wearing like crazy, vibes come through steering wheel at 60, super soft rubber when temps are 80+. Almost becoming tacky to touch and you get black on your fingers when rubbing them. Correlates with the accelerated wear after 5k. Almost like they have a nice heavier proper rubber compound on the outside when brand new but it’s only designed to last 5k miles. Then you’re outside of Bridgestone 90 warranty and they won’t help you. I even paid to have these re- road forced balance d and the shop said they came back good <10 but something is wrong with the rubber. They pleaded with Bridgestone and company would only offer a 50% prorated discount on 2 tires. I even called and spoke with Bridgestone warranty management, utterly rude response uncaring and repeatedly said not there problem, kept blaming the installer shop since they “let me” drive it past the 90 day warranty period. I will never own another Bridgestone / Firestone exploding failing product, nor do I suggest you do so. Actually going to buy a used set of stock Dunlop’s on CL just to be rid of the vibration caused by that gappy uneven tread design on these revo 3. I can’t affords to drop another $1k on fancy tires right now.

WOW!! Thanks for the update, but sorry you had that experience! Don't you just hate when someone won't stand behind their product and also treat you badly in the process (almost like they paid you to use their tires . . .)!?

As stated, I am surely keeping an eye on Revos for when these Yoko Geolandars wear out - so far so good, but it's been mainly on-road and fair weather stuff. On road and pulling a travel trailer has been great with the Yokos, so if the Revo 3s are reported as crappy by others, then I'll just probably stick with the Geos (and if they wind-up getting decent wear/mileage).
