Brighter Reverse Lights

Easy Backup lights!

I know this is an old thread, but I just replaced by backup lights with two Sylvania 886 bulbs. Just cut off at the base of the legs (with a Dremel tool so you don't break the bulb), and plug into the existing sockets. I can finally see very well when I back up, and it was crazy easy to do! One of the best mods I've done, and it was cheap, easy, and fast! I have no idea why they don't stock brighter backup bulbs in every car.

Can you post a picture of how you cut it?

I'll post some pic tonite of my reverse LEDs they are brighter than any you guys have probably seen I also have a small piaa light wired into the reverse circuit.

I know that these arent just bulbs, but definately helps out more than just bulbs will. Napa utility lights using existing hole. wanted something tucked up more than normal.

I too have some bright LED's they are $50 but vLEDS had a 50% off sale when I got mine. There doing it again this weekend I think. Check out my build thread, Page 2. I'd post the pics but im on my iPod. There are some before and afters in there though.
VLEDs also has a pretty neat Licence plate frame that you wire into your reverse lights. It looks legit. Other than that I'd do what skidmrk did. That's going to give you the most light
