Broken exhaust bolts

So long story short, the three bolts that come off my header and hold the piping to the cat broke off and I have no clue what to do about it. My mechanic cannot get it to the shop until Thursday and I need it back asap. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated

Measure the size and find a bolt store locally, look for grade 8 bolts and nuts and some locktite. Feel lucky also, someone may have been trying to snake your CAT and got interrupted. You can probably get away with using some grade 5 bolts more commonly found at Home Depot of Lowes until you can get replacements. Its probably easier to do it yourself even if you ordered OEM bolts from Toyota. Definitly going to pay a mechanic way to much to do it.

I hate to say it but you may be sol you can try an easy out but you risk breaking that off if you can't get a torch on the broken bolts. And if you break the easy out it'll cost probably twice as much when you have to take it I'm at that point.

Take the exhaust manifold off. Its the easiest way to get at those bolts. Drill them out as far as you can before starting to cut into the manifold, then use an easy out on them. Lots of PB blaster. I just went through this. Got new studs from the dealer with the star end for about $2 each. :thumb:
