Brushguard or Bull Bar?

Yes I am from Panama I was born and I grew up over there. My Dad was In the Army and stationed when he met my mom and blah blah blah . She lived over here for a while but then got separated and took me and my brothers back to Panama. I simply Love Panama and try to go every year if I can ......... You are welcome! Maybe ill install one like your's or the Westin bull bar those are my two options, I wanted the Shrockworks bumper, but since i'm not really into off roading, it would be completly unnecesary haha.

Yes, i'm from Mexico City and i had lived here all my life but the last year and a half I spent in Panama, I came back to Mexico, a few months ago(that's when I got my 4Runner), just to start the college, any of the universities back in Panama convinced my parents so I had to came back, but i'm really missing back there. Maybe i'll visit after new years.

Sorry my T4R was totaled (No one hurt) and I have a GX on special order. It won't be difficult to choose a bar for the GX there are only two made and I'm not crazy about the Westin.

I have the same bullbar with round lights mounted on it. I don't have any pics from the side, but I can tell you I love the way it looks from the front, but from the side I do find it sticks out a bit much. I'm still glad I got it, but I just don't love how it looks from the side. It is EXTREMELY solid, however, as its the only bullbar I know that attaches at 4 points. If you get it, search for user jediwebdude's instructions on how to install. Made it MUCH easier.

What size lights did you fit on there? I just got mine on and want to do lights like that sometime soon.

I went with a 5" because I wanted it to be similar to the stock fog lights, but there was still a fair bit of room, I'm sure you could fit at least a 6" in there. The holes are already there for mounting as well.

I am looking at the hunter safari bull bar or brushguard. I can't decide which one I want. Not getting for the protection. Mainly to mount my lights because I don't really like where they are now. And the regular bull bar says it will only fit 4 1/2" lights. Not sure if that is right, but mine are 6". The brushguard does not seem to form to the body very well?? What is your opinion?

There are holes/screws at the back of the bottom bar for mounting lights.

I like the look of it - wanted to get one without an attached skid plate.

The steelcraft one is very well-made (especially compared to the westin) and the plate is detachable.

Ok, my first post here is for this, but over on MUD, and Pirate4x4 brush guards are known as "damage multipliers" due to the fact that if you actually hit something it is going to do much more damage than protection. Some look good, but I prefer function to form, just my .02...

The only brush guard that I like is the Manik, but they went out of business and they're hard to find. Don't like bull bars... never been a fan. Get a steel bumper, like the Shrockworks without hoops if you can afford it. Here's the Manik

Didnt know Manik went out of business. This has been my #1 choice for years and just never pulled the trigger
