Yes, you will find that most of the OE bolts are too short to thread through the thicker slider bracket down into the frame. Bud provides you with way more bolts and washers than you need so just use all new bolts.
Keep in mind you don't need to unbolt the gas tank strap, just the gas tank skid. There's no need to remove the entire skid either, just unbolt the outer side and bend it down and out of the way. Driver side you're definitely wanting to get a 2nd pair of hands, the front mount is a HUGE pain to get up and over and then under the hard line (you'll see what I mean when you're under the truck). There are also these little mini mud flap looking things at the rear of the rocker panel (right in front of the rear tire). Those are in the way for me, so maybe you might want to pull them off ahead of time.
Do yourself a favor, get some anti-seize for all the new bolts you're putting in and coat the threads before installing. AND if your truck is not fresh off the factory lot, spend some time with either a clean bolt or preferably a tap and run it through all the welded on frame nuts to remove any built up crud on the threads. This will make your life MUCH easier when trying to bolt on the slider.
