Bug Deflector

Hi All,
First post:
Do any of you have the bug deflector on your Runner? I had on on my Taco, which I just traded for a new Runner and am thinking about getting one for it, too. Just not sure how it will look with the body style. Toyota pics are not very good.

I'm interested in everyone's opinion on the subject and any pics will be appreciated.

BTW, it's a silver grey Limited.

I believe the AVS "Bugflector" is the exact same deflector as the Weathertech for about $20 less. It is very low profile as you can see above. I like it on my white SR5 as it breaks up the white a bit.

Definitely prevents bugs and rocks from chipping hood paint, does nothing to prevent bugs from hitting windshield. Piece of cake to install, super easy.

Yes, very. It didn't require any tape to install, and I like the look.

I plan on getting the deflector set from WeatherTech. Maybe the set with mats as well. I'm more of a "looks" person anyways.

Toyota wants $130 for their deflector and another $60 to install. I ordered the Weathertech bug deflector ...half the price of Toyota and the instructions look simple enough, even for me.

I don't have one and the spot that you would mount one seems to be exactly where all the frickin' rock chips are in the paint... DOH. Might not be a bad way to spend a few bucks.

Liking the look is one thing if you think it adds to your runners aesthetics. But in reality it only protects a small strip of hood while the rest of the front grill and everything else is still getting plastered with bugs and small rock chips. I just clean it off after a buggy trip, but whatever works for ya.

That was why I ordered Weathertech too. I've had them before on past vehicles and was impressed by the ease of installation and quality, and the Toyota version sure as hell didn't look like it was worth double the WT.
