I've got an extra factory Toyota one sitting in my garage that I'm looking to get rid of but I imagine the cost of shipping from Ontario would be more than it's worth. It fits well and looks good though.

Any locals want one?

Do these make much difference on a 4runner? Anyone have a picture of one installed on a silver t4r?

mine is silver as well so I hope someone post up. I mainly want it to keep rock chips of my hood, it made a big diff on my 2000 also kept bugs from eating the paint... twice a year here in louisiana we have love bugs and they will eat your paint up in a couple days of not washing them off...

Here's the factory one on mine:

Here is what I have; it is a VentShade brand (AVS):

I have attached a little clips on each corner, you probably can see them on those pictures.

I think I have a proper one. It is too late now. I will take pics tomorrow. I have Sport. And it looks great (IMHO).
It works great too. I drive VW car as well which does not have one.
It makes a huge difference.

Thank you for the pictures!

That's good to hear they work well. Has anyone driven a 4th gen with and without the bug guard to notice a difference? The factory one seems like the way to go.

Again, mine is factory, but it is different from those in pics. Mine covers triangle segments in front of the hood as well. Looks much better (IMHO).

Sounds like we can still get the 'Canadian model', that is different from the US ? hope so

This one came with the truck when I purchased it used.

It's the factory Toyota model. I hate it. It vibrates at speed, and has caused the paint underneath to wear (due to excessive vibration).

Dealership took a look at it and said everything looked normal and that it was installed correctly.

As soon as I get the cash to get the hood resprayed it'll have to stay on.

Anybody have any suggestions for stopping the vibration?

Mine fits snug and never vibrates. Do you have the rubber knobs installed under it. Should have 4 or 5 that stick to the hood so it won't rub.

yup, they're all there and the screws under the hood are tight. I only seem to get the vibration at around 100kph (60mph).

Do these keep bugs off the windshield, or only off the front end of your hood?

And what brand is your grille guard??

I'm getting one soon...dunno wich one yet...but I really like the Factory one...it looks like protects better the triangle area.

I like the toyota factory one... thats what I was looking for I bought an AVS one... thinking I might return it and get the toyota one... how much was it?

Here is another lead for canadian one.
Some time ago I've seen bug shield on sale (brand new) sitting in my dealership. Thay wanted somthing like 75CAD. But I do not remember price for sure. I just remember that it was really low. Call them, find out if it is still there and I believe they can arrange shipping anywhere.
Phone: 1-877-886-9682. You'll need parts department.
