Alright, I want thoughts and options....I own a 2014 SR5 Premium in Nautical Blue Pearl...I LOVE Cement but can't switch to a TRD Pro as I need the 3rd row....
So I'd like to add the bilstein shock/spring package to my car (1599)
TRD Wheels (800), stamped skid plate (270), TRD Pro front grill garnish (400), the black running boards off the Trail (349), and a hood with a scoop and insert (500)
And I would LOVE to re-paint my car (6-7k)

Do you think it is worth spending all this money on a car when I don't like the color...should I drive it as is, do as much as I can, or should I spend the $ to re-paint my car??
If I do all these mods and or re-paint my car, do you think it will increase the value of my vehicle?
Will I recoup any of the cost of these mods if I sell it some day?

find a vinyl wrap thats close to cement grey and wrap it. take if off when you sell it.

other than that you can make it look like a trd pro no problem.

Yes, I would do all of the above, including painting the 4Runner a new color.

With those mods, it will definitely increase the value, and you'll probably make a profit when you sell in the future.

You might also look into to some "Yosemite Sam" mudflaps...
 
Lol. I can tell you don't come from a background of modifying your previous vehicles.

Anything you do it, no matter how expensive the mods are, you will never get the same value you paid for the parts. A stock vehicle will always be sell easier by appealing to a larger buyers market.

Trade the SR5 in for a cement. That's the only logical thing to do IMO.
 
if you're going to paint. you should do inferno red. that's more rare.
then youre going to have to swap out the interior too because the sr5 interior is cloth and the pro is pleather. also the 4x4 is not electronic in the pro. so you gotta swap that too.

dont forget the hood scoop.

Do you know what a vinyl wrap costs? I'm sure it's less than a paint job, right?

umm you'd be surprised. but it all varies. you need to call around for the best price. i personally have not vinyl wrapped any of my cars so i have no idea how much they range from.

LOL, I've done wheels, level kit, cold air intake...easy/cheap stuff on my vehicles before, but never anything like what I'd like to do on my SR5...yours is pretty sick, by the way!

If I were you I would drive a lot on dirt and gravel roads (never wash it so you can't tell the color), enjoy the vehicle you have and spend the extra $ on travel and enjoying the car or the kids (I'm assuming that's what you need the 3rd row for).

It's your $ and do what makes you happy...but it seems like a waste to me just for a color.
 
Sell it and go buy Demellos 4runner. TE with a third row swap. If I hadnt bought mine already I would have done that.

And wraps are expensive and have to be replaced after about 4 years or so or else they fade and break off in little pieces.

Like others said, drive it and find out what you need and maybe wait around for group deals or other members selling their stuff when the 6th gen comes out.
 
Sounds like you really have your heart set on a Pro, there's gotta be a way to get a 3rd row in, even if it means finding a totaled donor vehicle.

Met a guy a few months ago who wrapped his 2015 4runner in matte black, looks really good... up close could not tell it was a vinyl wrap. He said it was in the $3-4k range for costs, installer from Bellevue, WA. Said he did the wrap to protect the factory paint when he off-roads. Not sure about that but the batmobile look was super cool.
