16 vs 24 grill insert differences

This may not matter to most, but I thought I'd share for those planning to do a TRD Pro insert swap.

I had a 2016 SR5 premium grill insert laying around and I was going to swap it into my 2024 Trail Premium to eliminate the chrome bars.

To my suprise the grill mounts are different and I could not swap them out.

In the photos the two grills are above/below, and the red circled the areas are the differences.

I could have modified it, but I wasnt that committed.

I want to do a TRD PRO grille swap to my 2023 TRD Offroad Premium. I need to finally start looking into it. I definitely don't want any surprises after opening up a kit in my driveway.

Agreed, luckily the grill is easy to remove and I hadn't ordered anything that needed to be returned.

For those who want to verify what they have, pull the top cover off and look at the back of the grill before ordering parts.
