Added a Gobi Rack February 17, 2018

Didn't snap any pics of the process, but here's the truck with the rack before the suspension was installed.

Thanks to Filthy Motorsports in Boulder, CO for running the calculations, spring rates and sorting me out with my order with King. Ben is a pro, and was a pleasure to work with.

After a 3 months of waiting for King to build my shocks, we got to install (March 4-5, 2018). First time doing this for any of us. We're all car guys and have never raised a vehicle (been a dream to own a 4Runner since I was a kid). Took us a weekend. Battled some rust, got a new air chisel, and made it happen. Installed the Kings, SPC UCAs, mounted the SCS wheels with the BFGs, drank beers and spent some time with some good buddies. I'm in the Toronto hat for anyone wondering.

Following. I just picked up a '05 as well this past February, and we seem to have similar ideas for the build process. I'm actually coming up on week 7 for my Kings through Filthy Motorsports as well. Just wondering if the 3 months you waited was the time frame they quoted you or longer than expected. I'm not impatient yet, but I am getting anxious, haha.

Nice, congrats. I believe I waited a few weeks past the estimated time frame. The custom length rears pushed it back a few weeks.

What size KO2s are those? Looks great so far!

285/70R17

How many inches did you raised your car?

I didn't measure but around 2-2.5 front/3-4 rear. Preload set at 0 on the coilovers for now.

What made you choose the Kings over the Icon?

Friends having and recommending Kings ultimately made me choose them over Icon. I did a lot of research between the two and found most were happy with either.

Hammered in pinch welds, pushed back front fender liners, trimmed fenders and liners, IF body mount chop. Hopefully no more rubbing. #fingerscrossedemoji

Red Cone Pass/Webster Pass, CO - July 14, 2018 - Photos all off of my friends phone.

Ran a couple fun trails with a buddy this weekend. Still waiting on my skids from RCI, but didn't run in to any issues. A handful of fun obstacles coming up through the forest. Once we got above tree line the views were incredible.

Coming down Red Cone, very steep! Picture doesn't do it much justice.

Webster Pass was clear of snow, so we came back down that to the south.

Awesome pics! They really do a good job of telling the story of your 4R. Excited to see this thing progress. Best color, and I even like your wheels ;)
