New shoes for my Yota! SCS Stealth 6!

Shout-out to SCSPerformance for an excellent product and fantastic customer service! Vin, thank you so much!

My old Tundra wheels were looking pretty beat up, so I decided to bite the bullet and grabbed a set of the Stealth 6 in gunmetal grey with machined lip. Love the contrast in color with the gray and polished/machined metal, along with the Imperial Jade Mica. It's like a whole different 4Runner!

I've never been a fan of those JDM fender mirrors, but otherwise that is a great looking street truck. Between the new wheels and the front end, it's a very clean look.

Thanks BigFishAllDay! I'm aiming to build mine up to a JDM spec truck (except for the engine, for now). So, I'm on the hunt for those little unique accessories that out Hilux counterparts have overseas. That being said, I do need to post up my 4wd parts inventory :D

A JDM style build wouldn't be complete without the fender mirror, so I understand where you're coming from. You did a nice job w/the install and color match, too, btw.

Are you going to do a 4wd conversion on this thing?

Yes sir! Got very lucky locally. A guy was parting out a 97 base model. Just mention a few, he sold me the transfer case (no transmission), front diff, CVs, Upper and lower control arms with spindles and drive shafts for a whooping $300! My plan is to do a full manual 4wd swap, meaning ADD delete and manual hubs and possibly bolt the T-case to my A340E using an Inchworm pre-runner adapter. Still need to get some things and some final research, but, it'll happen within the next year (should funds and time allow). I'm part of the GE Edison Engineering Development Program, so, when my classes start, won't have much time. Getting there!

Wow, you got a great deal on the conversion parts! You could re-sell everything for twice that much, easy.

Congrats on getting into the GE program. I did a quick google search and it looks like a great way to jump-start your career out of college with a solid employer & career path. Getting the 4WD conversion done will be nice, but that GE program looks like it will pay off a lot more in the long run.

Definitely worth the jump from PR to here. Great company so far. Locomotives are fun! And yeah, I think I struck good on the deal! Specially considering I didn't have to deal with buying a truck to part out and get rid of afterwards. Will post pics up soon (or else, it didn't happen).

Really digging this truck, between the dual exhaust, those wheels!, and the jdm goodies. Recently I was asking someone I know deployed in Germany to hunt me some emblems, but you've got me wanting a field monitor and the blind spot mirror. Really nice truck and I appreciate you for posting it. Girlfriend already hates my obsession with the truck and your not helping haha.

Hi, Trikz! I am Cuco from Aguas Buenas, PR, remember me? Todo bien? Me alegra el que estés bien por allá, saludos.

Glad to be a stimulant/promoter of your 4Runner addiction! Thanks for the compliment! I'm telling you, once the JDM bug bites... bye bye bank account lol I'm seriously gonna hold off for a while as I reeeaaally need to recover from these mods :peep:

Claro que me acuerdo de usted! Espero que siga bien Cuco! Como puede ver, me la traje a Pennsylvania! No salgo de esta guagua ni loco. Glad to see you're still around the forum.

TEQ Badge!

More JDM goodies... sort of...

I just received a TEQ badge from tristero that's originally made for a 5th gen 4Runner. Got it for my "Satoshi style" grill. Gotta find a way to mount it. Currently have a Toyota Yaris emblem, which is much larger than the original 3rd gen badge, sort of like this TEQ badge. Might epoxy it to the black base of the Yaris badge and zip tie it to my grill.

Anyways, here's a pic. Thanks tristero!

No problem Trikz I'm glad you're happy with it.

You should just be able to get away with using the 3M tape. I have 75311-90K00 toyota emblem and haven't had any issues with the 3M tape.
