Build thread: Trikz

No problem Trikz I'm glad you're happy with it.

You should just be able to get away with using the 3M tape. I have 75311-90K00 toyota emblem and haven't had any issues with the 3M tape.

I'll give it a try! Just worried that the grill area does get pretty hot and I think it'll weaken the 3M tape and I'll lose the badge. But I will try it anyways and see how secure it feels.

Truck looks good! The emblem should be fine with 3M tape. That's what I have holding my letters on my custom grille and they've been fine.

Thanks! For my badge, what I did was epoxy two zip ties on the backside. Then, I simply tied them down through the mesh holes. Holding up great so far! Gonna upload some nicer pics later today.

You grill looks awesome! Love that Raptor mesh!

Good idea Trikz!

Those wheels look great! Can't wait for some more JDM goodies to come

Thanks man! Can't wait myself to finish the projects that I have lined up for it. Currently waiting on a spare dash bezel so I can do the triple din dash mod. Guess Once I save up a bit, next mod will be either the 4wd conversion (once I collect all the parts), or, Hilux Surf rear hatch. How's your wing install going?

As of now, I think it's a lost cause. On one of my upcoming days off, I think I may contact a few body shops and see what they say about an install job.

You'll definitely want that 4wd for those Penn. winters!

Good luck getting the wing installed!

Also, yes, I really want 4wd. I did survive this.first winter with RWD only and no weight on the back. Just taking it easy on corners and stuff. Not too bad considering it's the first time I've seen snow!

Thanks man, I'll send you the feedback I get from a couple places. I have a buyer if I can't get it on so a little bit of a back up.

But with 4wd, you can be a little more reckless doing donuts in fields and using 4wd to get out of whatever mess you're in. If I'm ever up that way, I need to see your 4Runner, especially when it's done. :becky:

Definitely! Keep me posted! And yeah, I can't wait till I'm able to do the conversion! Gotta post my parts inventory and start keeping track of what I'm missing and such. Hit me up if you're ever in the area also!

Believe it or not, I would've been more likely to see you in Puerto Rico as I surf there often in the winter/spring. Can't wait to see this conversion since there's been so few done on here. I'll definitely let you know what happens with the spoiler, if it's somewhat affordable, I'll pull the trigger.

Sub-ing to your build to watch what madness happens.

Thanks for the sub! BTW, where did you go surfing, Rincón? That's on the west coast. Great surfing events there!

I was in Rincon this past spring for the Corona Pro and that was a ton of fun. Ive' also stayed in San Juan and surfed at La Ocho and most of the breaks on the Northern side, Jobos siendo mi favorito (Hope I got that right).

That's awesome! I was gonna go back in Sept, but, I've spent too much on mods and need to save up a bit haha Going back in December, so, I'll be able to skip a bit of the winter here in Erie (hopefully). While it's not a surfing beach (as far as I remember), you should definitely hit Culebra. Small island east of Fajardo (you can look it up). It's been rated one of the top 7 beached by Trip Advisor (if I'm not mistaking it with another travel company/magazine).

That looks beautiful and very well may have to check it out. Only time I've been down to Fajardo is for a zip-line tour throughout El Yunque. I was planned on going back down to PR for the Corona Pro again this coming year but think I'm saving up for a trip to El Salvador instead. I'll be back there again probably the following year.
