I'm planning on building a half width slide out tray for my 4th gen. I don't want cargo drawers as this would raise the floor height. I like the stock height of the floor as I sleep in my 4r often and light being able to sit up.
I would be using this tray, not for sliding out cargo, but to slide out a little to sit on like a tail gate and then full slide out to use as a table to cook, prep stuff, etc.
Essentially, there will be a new floor that is the full width of the rear cargo area that is the same height as the rear seats when they are laying down. That way I can comfortably sleep in the back. Then a slide out tray would be under that new floor. So the challenge is finding HD drawer slides that are not too tall... or just use HD slides that can be bottom mounted.
Since I want to use it partially extended to use/sit on like a tailgate and then a full extension, does anyone know if there are any 2 position locking HD drawer slides? I've been searching but can't seem to find anything.
