Life can be pretty strange sometimes, and a little ironic. Let's all remember how upset my wife was about the new motor shenanigans and how she wanted to burn Red to the ground, everybody remember? Well she also wanted me to get into a newer more reliable ride, she liked 2nd gen tacos. Last December that POS Chebby she drove took a dive too, ended up needing like $3500-4000 to fix multiple problems at once. Long story short I said that wasn't gonna happen, so i traded that pile as fast as I could.
We bought what she wanted, a 2011 Taco Access cab, 4.0, 6MT, in Super White, complete with douche bag 6" drop bracket lift kit and big shiny wheels, she loved it, I hated it. But the truck was a great deal, well cared for, and low mile machine. So after the dust settles on that purchase, she realizes that she drives around ten times as many miles every week as I do ( ...really I drive about 35 miles a week, she drives around 400...). Keeping gas in her big shiny truck was expensive at around 12 mpg, you gotta pay to play sista! And she doesn't wanna rack up the miles up on the new machine. So she traded me into the new truck and she drives Red, cuz it already has tons of miles on it, and in reality it is way more cooler than the DB Tacoma. So after a few minor changes in order to make it more highway friendly, like stepping back to some 265 Falkens, and removing the recovery equipment, etc, she took over my baby. So, and this is all very ironic, now wifey daily drives Red, and loves it I might add.
I on the other hand have been relegated to the Tacoma, and even tho it is a really nice truck, I feel like I need to add flat billed hats, white Oakleys and an e-cig to my daily regimen.
