Hi All,
I own a 97 SR5 "stock" with the following condition. At about 50mph and up: When I hit a bump the thing wants to swerve back and forth like crazy. Feels like im driving on a big rubber ball or balloon. Also when I steer the wheel back and forth, then bring the wheel back to rest: The thing will continue to swerve a good 3 to 4 more times. Tire pressure is perfect. Just replaced front and rear shocks and sway bar end links "which were shot and I was sure were the culprit." It got better but still isn't good. The bushings where the sway bars come into the rack are pretty nasty and are on order for front and rear. I'm hoping the replacement of these bushings will do it but I just dont see these bushings as being the cause of such a major swerve. The ball joints are tight. Pitman and Idler arm seem fine. Anybody had this problem?? I'll be very much looking forward to hearing from anyone who can offer any insight.
