Bumper Bash 2009

So, I was reading in this forum or another about a guy who was wondering about how the license plate on the back of the 4th Gen 4Rs (and maybe all Gen's) might rub on the body. This concerned the OP and he/she wanted to know how to avoid this from damaging his/her car. To my surprise 8-9 others posted that they have put clear protective bumpers behind the plate and even submitted pictures of this. What, really! My god, I love people that anal. I haven't even thought of doing something so Type A, and I bought a bike lock for my spare tire to ensure it's not stolen. Had all my windows etched for security reasons. I mean please, I'm just waiting for the call after my 4R is stolen "Sir, we didn't find your car, but we have your passenger side rear window". And then the insurance calls to tell me that will be deducted from my claim.

Well, back to my point. I'm new to the forum and love how anal you guys can be about your trucks. I too and trying to reach that level of Analizism. In saying this I went out and bought a pack of 12 rubber bumpers (smallest size they had). Cost me $3.59 for these stupid little things. I and not going to let them sit there. Post your address and I will send them to you and hopefully you can then send them to the next person. Naturally that would have required you read this far into my rant. Let the posts begin and let "Bumper Bash 2009" begin. Just post me your address if you wish and I'll mail them next day. Let the fun begin.

TROLL, lets see how long hes gonna last

I got 8 forever stamps that I'll include in the letter. Honestly, I don't care if anyone takes me up on this offer or not, I'm just putting it out there so no one else has to buy the little rubber mats.

I put a few strips of foam tape on mine, but really just to stop the rattling sound when I close the rear hatch.

I'll take 2, thanks.

send them to my address...

ps... don't forget to put your return address so I can send you a thank you note. :biggrin2:

I put some magnets behind the license plate to maintain some clearance about a month ago and I haven't had any issues.
they are smaller than a watch battery and i stacked two of them each for the bottom two corners.
