Bumper build / Need advice.

Ok...so heres the deal..my runner has custom fiberglass rear fender flares...they look really good on the truck but the rear bumper is leaving me lacking...so i will be rebuilding it like i did with the front...how ever im having a hard time filling in this one gap...What do i do about the transition from flare to rear quarter panel???

I hate the look of whats currently on it and want to make it better...
So heres the deal...i can do any sheet metal work...weather its with a plenishing hammer or bead roller or what ever it is i need. I also can do any tube work or plate work... soo what im asking is some advice from all you fellow 4runner owners...
cost is not an issue...i want the rear bumper to tie in and clean up the lack of rear bumper sides or what ever you call em...

Why is your truck for sale? Are you fixing it up to sell or?

its not for sale.....where did you get that idea...i mean everything is for sale for the right price but..currently not trying to sell it.

Are you trying to keep it as a full tube bumper? Would you be interested in including some plating?

No idea what kind of work would be involved but best loo, possible would be continue the sleek finish of the fender down to the line equal to the tailgate. Like in the oic from afar if you could finish the tailgate line across and blend into the panel and flare. Then what ever you build the bumper like it would be a protection to that... make sense?

Yeah, another though would be to include/weld in some diamond plate then add some additional tubing that cover about 2-3" of the rear flares so it almost looks like a flare guard. That way not only does it flow in but it gives it a cool look no one else has since you'd have so guards on the flares.

I think extending the side of the bumper closer to the wheel well will flow better. Since your flares stick out so far it will be difficult to match that with a tube bumper. Here are two of the tube bumpers I think show this. They do a good job if matching the body lines and cover a lot more than the current bumper.

must have posted on the wrong day...i just looking for random ideas...in the end ill do what i like the most..but getting everyones opinions is great.
I really have thought about working with some metal/fiberglass to fill in...but i can do other things as well...i have and can do any type of metal finish..just curiois how much i want to get into it..

That's why I asked, I wasn't trying to buy it or anything.

I like plate bumpers the best, but tube works as well...

What about running two identical shaped tube structures on the side of the body that look somewhat like the savage sides and connect them on the top, bottom and sides with plate. It would give the width of the flare and look somewhat like a plate bumper, but with tube. Hard to explain, but basically making a box like structure using the tubing as the edges.

yeah exactly what i was thinking...the front is sorta hybrid..and i want the back to be similar... and i like dimple dien things!
