Bumper Decisions

I'm trying to decide which route to take with my front bumper. I've been set on buying JLee (Jerry from BAMF) Elite Offroad bumper from him when he starts his SAS. It's an awesome bumper and very well built.

I've also talked to a local fab shop (INDEFAB) that deals with LT and do a lot of custom work. I was checking out one of their bumpers and really liked what they did with it. It's more of a prerunning bumper, but I've always liked tube a lot. He can incorporate a winch and open to modifications.

I really like both and was curious what others thought. Pricing is about a $50 difference so that's not an issue.

SCRunner12, honestly, I'm a staunch plate bumper guy, and I really like the first bumper, the Elite Offroad one... it does look solid and I like the square LED lights...

I think that Chevy Silverado turns us off on that bumper, any chance of a photo on a Tacoma or 4Runner?

First one. Very clean and sleek. Good protection and good clearance. Plus you got 4 spots to put lights!

I vastly prefer plate bumpers, maybe hybrids at the most but I dont like tube bumpers.
Plus I dont think prerunner bumpers go well with 4runners..

Just saying.. but do what makes you happy!

Elite Offroad gets my vote too. I think they look better and they're local to me. May have to look into picking one of these up

Well it seems like it's pretty unanimous, you guys like the tube bumper.......haha

I actually was looking at the Elite when I posted the pic and thought it looked damn sexy. I agree it just looks clean and unflashy, which is exactly what I want. Just needed some reassurance I guess.

Just a heads up though, INDEFAB is a killer shop and can do amazing things on their trucks. Their work is top notch and Dave the owner is super nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend anyone local to consider them and I'd be more than happy to work with him for any work you guys would want if you aren't local. Check out their killer El Camino he is working on. Inde-Fab's El Camino

Have you asked INDEFAB about making you a plate bumper? Or it is gonna be way outta your price range? (don't know the price of the elite bumper Jlee is selling you)

No, he said he's done them in the past, but if I'm going plate I'm getting the Elite. I love the look of the Elite so I couldn't improve its design. Plus it will definitely be more than what I'm paying for the Elite. Also custom jobs means downtime for my 4runner while it's being built and that's not possible at this time. Now to work overtime and save my pennies.

The Elite bumper is pretty sweet, hopefully we can test that thing on Niagra Rim this summer!

That El Camino is pretty sweet though, I'd love to have something like that to jump out at my cabin
