Lately my truck has been making a crunch sound for a split second when i start it. Today I went to crank it and it wouldn't start and I see smoke coming out from under the hood.
Popped the hood and found smoke coming from both the positive and negative cables. As I went to unhook the negative, the terminal fell off from getting so hot.
I went ahead and bought a new starter, battery and ground cable. Before I install them is there anything that I need to look for. I'm not really sure why it would burn up the battery like that
