Burning rubber smell

After driving I have a burning rubber smell coming from the front passenger side of the truck. I cant pin point the location. Are there any common problem areas?

could be your belts. When your vehicle is cold, the belts contract so when you run your vehicle and they heat up, things rub and the smell begins. Could be you CV boots too as they are rubber and can tear and rub. Check the tension on the belts and look at the boots on both sides of the front differential.

I have this problem from a leaky valve cover gasket dripping on to the exhaust but on the driver side. You can see a tiny bit of smoke coming up as it burns.

I'll check those out I should add that the smell only hangs around for 30sec or so then it's gone
