Bushings recommended for front end components?

At 184K miles on my 2007 2WD SR5, and no bushings ever replaced, and no steering etc components ever replaced, I'm starting to think of these things. I have that telltale "clacking" sound/vibe felt in the steering wheel and faintly heard with my fading ears when stepping over bumps at low speed - at higher speed those faults are overwhelmed by road noise and jitter.
Also on the occasion that I drive on an unpaved "road" full of potholes etc the steering feels "disconnected" to me and pretty noisy. Normal?

Here in mid-2019, what are the make/model [links would be great] bushings that are the top choices for our trucks? I'm not looking for cheap parts just to get by, but high quality.

And how long/far does the original Rack go? I've read posts here of people replacing racks at under 100k but that seems extreme to me. In those cases there were leaks. I have no leaks.

I'm reading the sway bar bushing thread here https://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/34115-swaybar-bushing-upgrade.html
But that is about making the sway bar react quickly, for flat steering, and harsh/abrupt rebound. That ain't my cup of tea. I want cushy

Is polyurethane used for longevity, or for energy absorption or what? Which is the right material.

I put Bilstein 5100's on about 20k miles ago and wish now I had changed out the shock and strut mounts. But the ride was not "metallic" or hard/clank, I just thought the OEM shocks were lame.

your advice is appreciated
