retrofit fenders

Does anybody know the difference in width of 2003-2005 and 2006-2009 fenders?
I have an 2005 T4 and I ve got an idea of DIY the pocket style fenders from 2006-2009 used fenders. Do you think it will be workable?

Depends on the flare style they build. Did you chose the pocket style that fits into stock holes in the survey?

I picked the pocket style for mine, but I do not think there is a way around cutting the cladding. the cladding in the rear door is part of the flare.

Woke up to an update on Facebook about this survey, went with the pocket style as well. I'm glad after everyone getting at them for a while they are finally giving it some thought. Would be epic is they built them.

I voted for cut-out fender flares. I thought that's what we were looking for since they're both pocket-style and allow for trimming if you want.

Cut out flares require trimming, and I cannot imagine too many people are going to want to cut up there fenders. I want the cut out, but in the interest of getting enough votes for production, I opted for the standard pocket flares.

I'm not sure what the difference between some of those flares are. The description for the extend-a-flare is what I voted for. additional coverage using the same body lines. If I understand correctly this will mount using holes on the underside in the wheel well and will extend out to make up for removing mudflaps.

I like those and the pocket style, I don't think many people will be into trimming and drilling holes.

Is the difference between extend-a-flare and the pocket style just the extra mounting screws on the top?

The pocket flares mount just like the extended flares the only difference is the pocket flares have the fake bolts in them to make them look more beefy. If I am going to spend 500 dollars on flares I do not want them to look exactly like the factory ones...

I voted for the cutouts. Only reason I'd do them would be to add clearance.
