Buy a 2018 TRD Pro 4R or wait for the 2019s?

Just do it bud, in my stock 2018 I get up to all sorts and have yet to reach the limitation of my stock Bils and I'm off road twice a week (I do only have 7k on the clock tho). I don't see how it can be that much better tbh, plus an OE shock will never match an aftermarket item anyway.
I guess the question should be, how much more are you willing to pay/wait for the same truck with comparable if not the same performance? Life too short ;-)

If you need a vehicle now, if you are going to lift it and scrap the stock suspension anyways, or if you can get a better deal haggling the 2018 then I say do it now. If you can wait, aren't going to lift, like the new rack or want to hunt down whatever the new TRD pro color is then Id say wait......but you will probably not have much room for negotiating on whatever that new color is.

Get a 2018 if you like the 4.0 V6, it's only going to get worse in 2019.

They won’t change the power train before redesign.
Plus,the 2019 Pro will be exactly the same as 2018 other than a new suspension ,rack ,JBL and safety sensors.

People can tell you if they like Cavalry Blue vs Voodoo Blue better. They can tell you that the FJ-like roof rack sucks. They can tell you that the snorkel is awesome. Nobody can tell you that the Fox set up is "better" than the Bilstein setup. Oh, they will try. They will have read the press release. The proof will be in the driving.

Other than the Fox vs Bilstein's and the FJ style roof rack it's the same truck.
So, if you need (or want) what the Fox shocks provide over the Bilstein's, and/or like the cute little roof rack wait for the 2019. But, again, it's basically the same truck. I didn't hear anything about a price increase but that wouldn't surprise me.

Where are you guys getting your info about the 2019 4Runner? I did a search of auto news and only found speculations. For example, I didn't find anything out about a new roof rack design resembling the FJ Cruiser. The drive train design for 2019 is anybody's guess too, IMHO.
