Still, I prefer my 2015 for the price I paid with the upgrades I've completed.
I would have replaced that fancy aluminum tube roof rack for something full length like my Baja Rack flat utility rack. How the heck can you haul anything long like a canoe or a stack of lumber on that rack?
The good thing about not changing the 4Runner much in 9 years is there will be lots of great aftermarket products made for it for many years to come. And new Toyota parts that fit will be available for a long time, at least 10 years from 2020.
