Buying KDSS 4Runner ORP with 2” front level — any concerns?

Looking at a 2024 TRD Off-Road Premium with KDSS. ~2” front spacer level, Elevate UCAs, stock rear, 285/55R20 Toyo A/Ts. Dealer tech reports no KDSS leaks or rubbing.

I’ll do little/no off-roading—mostly highway driving. Any concerns with this setup for handling or long-term reliability? Anything I should check before buying?

Please see photos.

Thanks in advance for your support!

It's so hard to say. If you change to aftermarket, forget about changing suspension angles, then you are dependent on the aftermarket quality of not only the existing setup but also their replacement parts when ball joints and bushings go out.

I'm just not a fan of changing the factory setup. Is buying that 4Runner a mistake? No, not necessarily. Your ride quality on the highway from a comfort and noise level won't be as good as a set of Michelins but it will look good and your decision should be a matter of personal taste.

Someone taking an ORP, then lifting it and doing UCAs, then putting 20" wheels on it, seems a bit confused...I'd personally pass.
Thank you for sharing your perspective! Very helpful.

For me, I’m just going to pass on this vehicle for these reasons.

Thanks to everyone in this thread and forum. I’ll continue my search and definitely check in with any further questions!

I think that is a good choice. I originally was going to buy an Off-Road Premium back when I created this account years ago. IMHO, the ORP is the perfect middle ground trim...some added creature comforts but not the $$$ of the Pro. However, if I were to ever modify one of my vehicles, I would want to be the one who did it.

Gomiami (and anyone else), I’m doing a national search for a low mileage 2024 ORP and aiming for robust options. Do you know if there a central location/website for contacting techs who can do a pre purchase inspection? I’m restricting myself to stock but want to confirm Kdss not leaking and other things. Thanks!

I don't know of such a thing but maybe some of the other members have ideas. Hopefully, you can find something in Florida rather than traveling halfway across the country.
