Buying used tires....

Money is tight for me right now and I can't afford to buy new tires for my 04 4Runner, winter is coming and my tires are close to bald. I have an opportunity to buy used tires from an 06 4Runner with 13,000 miles on the shoes for $150. Anyone have an bad experiences with used tires. The gentlemen who is willing to sell me the tires purchased new wheels and tires and doesn't need these anymore....

Basically, do they look like they would last through a NY winter, until next year, then I can afford my Toyo Open Country's

I doubt you'll find a better deal...make sure the sidewalls are intact, as they cannot be repaired. :bigok:

Oh, forgot to say....

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the tires. They've never been punctured, have no damage at all, and have no abnormal wear on the tread. The tires won't give you any problems.... I promise!

Even Steven, is a stand up guy, great to deal with! Now I can't wait till it's snows, my bald tires would have got me nowhere

Really nice 4runner and the 1" front lift kits he manufacturers make the 4runners stance look really nice, can't wait to have some extra cash to buy a kit!

I wonder how many other T4R's are local in the tri-state area, maybe a meet-up at Bear Mountain or some nice local lite off-roading where we can have fun, but keep are 4runners scratch free

Also, I looked at the rims, which I believe he is still selling, and they are in super great condition if anyone one was interested in them.

I sure could use 4 tires for my '98 limited.
