Buzzing sound from under the hood

Lately I have noticed a buzzing sound coming from under the hood. Im not quite sure the exact spot it's coming from but it almost seems like it's coming from the top right of the engine bay. Above the battery. Not really sure what that is called. I only notice the sound when my 4 Runner is completely off. it will buzz then stop for a few seconds then go again. Sort of like buzz....buzz.... and so on and so on. It only happens after I have driven my truck but will sometimes last up to around 30 minutes. I have done some research but can not seem to find anything. Hopefully someone could lead me in a direction of what it could be and if I should be worried about it. Thanks!

this is unique to the '96s, and Toyota actually addressed the issue for a few years with a bolt-on expansion chamber you could buy but that part is no longer available...

Mine does it and I've come fond of her buzzing at me.

"What's that sound? What's wrong with your 4runner?"

"Oh nothing. She's just telling me to get back in and hit a dirt road somewhere."

It's not broke, just something the thing does.

I've posted this before, but for anyone who cares to see here it is again:

I just happened to have this tin laying around. It doesn't have to be this or even this particular size. If I hadn't found the metal nipples cheap I would have been fine with plastic, whatever allowed the hose to connect to the tin.

So there you go. My take on the moo box fix.
