Cabin air filter 1 yr. update

Thanks for the help. Today I changed my filter by removing one screw. The filter cost $22 at the local parts store. The dealer wanted $32 plus an hour labor. So you guys saved me about $70. I've seen both filters and they look exactly like each other. I'd hate to think what it would cost me at the dealer if they had to really remove 4 screws like the Service Advisor told me. I guess, at the dealer it's one hour per screw, sounds like they are no different than a massage parlor. I think I'm going to look for a dealer that has female Service Advisors.
I live in Los Angeles CA. I went to Autozone.com but i can't seem to be able to find the Bosch filter. Do you have the part #?

WHy don't you all do the 3M filter mod? I made 7 filters for 10 bucks. and they work better than oem...

I'm in the market for a new in-cabin air filter and read bulldog's post on another forum about the Bosch/Micronair filters. My local autozone had no idea what I was talking about and told me it didn't exist, so I've been looking around online for one tonight, and think I found that you can order them from autobarn.com here:

I can't wait to pull mine out and see how it looks after all the dust and dirt and mud I've been through ... I haven't changed it since I bought it ummm ... a long time ago.

You will be in for a surprise then because yours will be completely clogged and dark gray in color. It is best to replace it at least once a year. I try to remove mine every six months and reverse flow it with my air compressor. I have also washed mine in soap & water between changes.

Yes, that is why I look forward to seeing it. I did actually take it out at some point last year, but it looked relatively clean so I put it back in. At the time, it was the least of my concerns.
Maybe I'll post a pic when I pull it out.

That's the one, but it sure seems pricy.
Up here in the Great White North, I bought a 1/2 dozen Micronair cabin filters (part# TY00145P) for something like CAD$17 each (at the time). Canadian Tire part # 23-3836-0. Only found them in Mississauga though, not in the Greater Vancouver area.

Yours must be in bad shape considering you've been off-roading in the dust.
