Cable identification

I tore into my console to fix my clock and came across this cable hanging. It seems to head towards the driver side kick panel. Can anyone identify this for me, thanks.

It looks like an extension cable for a 6 disc cd changer that was probably mounted in the rear.

Yep, I am an old guy (36), at least on the 3rd gen board. I remember buying CDs when they were sold in boxes at record stores. I remember my older brother used to buy cassettes and they were kept under lock and key.

To the OP: you can rip the cable out or leave it be; whatever your fancy is..:llama:
