Caliper Seals/rubber vs Solvent

I got some used 13WL calipers from a salvage yard with 87k on them for my Tundra swap. Im going to clean them up and paint them black first. Just wondering if I can stick them in my small parts washer and if the solvent will hurt the rubber around the pistons? If not great if so ill just get the wire brush out and clean all the crud off manually...

Solvents and rubber usually do not mix well together.

A small wire brush, a good cleaning agent, and some emory cloth is how I did it. Or you could just remove the pistons to clean the housing.

I ended up removing the pistons, sandblasting and painting. They look sweeeet! got the new seal kit from Toyota for 13.00 per caliper. Might as well right? Thanks guys
