Hey guys , I just got some 265 c load ko2 yesterday, look kinda small , but the salesman said I could swap then out for a 275 if I want . So is there a big difference from c 265- e275 ride, size, mpg ? They weigh 7lbs more per tire .

Why not just read the existing 275 KO2 threads (that even have pictures) and make up your own mind...we can't see your truck, and didn't include any pictures.

275s will look a lot better, but I think the look is the only real benefit. Yes, it is arguable that when you air down the 275s will give you a larger contact path, but again, I don't think you are airing down all the time... if you were, you wouldn't be looking at KO2s. 275s will be heavier E rating, will affect the speedo a bit, and may minorly rub.... but like I said earlier, they look a whole lot better.....

Ok ,well shoot , wish I would have looked further into this yesterday the difference seems pretty negligible with ride/mpg and that they look way better in 275 . Definitely I'm gonna change if they still let me . He offered yesterday when I went back to get my rebate form . After he saw the truck outside .My only other experience with E was 265/75/16 nitto that were on my stock 01 ltd runner it just made me hate life lol - thanks

Looks like the difference in overall diameter is only like 0.6 inches. Do they really look that much different?

I also wonder about the 275s offroad. Do they rub in rough terrain?

I went with 265's because I don't plan on lifting more than leveling. Also, the weight difference gave me some concerns. If they had a c load 275 k02, I would have gotten that.

I have 275's with E rating. No rub, no problems, and the weight is negligible. Still averaging 18 mpg and long trips I've gotten 19.6 mpg before which included some stop and go traffic.

and whoever said there is only a .5" difference is wrong

Tire Width is the width of the tire measured in millimeters from sidewall to sidewall. The first three-digit number in the tire size refers to the tire width. Aspect Ratio is the ratio of the height of the tire's cross-section to its width. The two-digit number after the slash mark in a tire size is the aspect ratio. For example, in a size P215/65 R15 tire, the 65 means that the height is equal to 65% of the tire's width. The bigger the aspect ratio, the bigger the tire's sidewall will be. 265mm x .7 = 185.5mm (7.3"); 275 x .7 = 192.5mm (7.6); 0.3 x 2 = 0.6"

So yeah...0.6" difference in height, and 0.5" difference in width :high5:

I have the 275's on fN wheels which are little wider than stock trails and offset more. I know I tried to remember how it was stock so I could compare. Sadly I forgot already, and sure it's about same but I remember a loss in snappy low power. I live in a hilly area so no real flat cruising so MPG's suck. Lately I Deff notice it more. I'm only getting 300-325 before fuel light comes on which I think is low. I thought I got 350-375 at least before light. Also hating how it shifts to overdrive so much and never pulls hills, which I say it did a bit better before. The tires weight plays a big roll (haha pun) in performance. Unsprung and rotational mass of E load and larger diameter tires will hurt performance.

My lie-o-meter in dash still says 17.5 or so normal driving complete empty rig no roof rack nothing. Again lot of stop and go some driving st 55mph. I might try my stock wheels on for a week just to see if it's that noticeable. But looks and style of what I have now I just don't care it's perfect. C load tires should, depending feel, drive a little smoother depending tire psi. With e load 275 I tried numerous pressures and noticed I liked as most recommended about 38-40. Helps sway in corners and hoping better rolling. Also tread wear, when I went towards 30 or so it floated a lot around corners.

Hope it helps thanks for reading

So does the .06 in height make a big difference in person ? They keep saying the ride will be unbearable for me but if its is really negligible as far as mpg and ride quality I may still change . I keep the 265s at 42 and I think it rides perfect more stable than my 20's . I was thinking going bigger and airing down a lil

It has taken me less time to commit to buying houses than it has taken you to commit to a tire size.
