Calling everyone running OME 906 coils

Ok here's some rough measurements. My apt parking lot is sloping towards the driver's side and I just filled up with gas on the way home so it has the yota lean. I'll include the fronts too since you mentioned you may get the TRD/5100's in front like I have. The Duratracs are about 1/2 through their life and I have the 10mm trim packers in the rear. Equals ~.5-.75" of rake, depending on how much gas I have. Sorry for bad lighting, it's dark out there!

Front pax ~36.75"

Rear pax ~37.5"

Rear driver ~37"

I got the 906s installed with the 60027s last July. At the time, the shop recommended this combination. If we had gone with the 890 coils, the 60028s were recommended. The ride was, and still is stiff, and that is even carrying a bit of weight.

If I am reading this thread right, ARB is now recommending the 60028s with the 906 coils, and for people who got the 60027s with their 906 coils, they are replacing the shocks if your ride is too stiff? We have put well over 5 thousand miles on this set up, will ARB still make the replacement? Like I said, our ride is still stiff. At first, I thought it just felt that way because the old ones were so shot.

I called Toytec today and asked them about this, they said if you have a 99 then you can use the factory shocks.

I'm a new Hilux Surf (JDM 4Runner) owner. I bought a cheap example here as they are extremely rare in Europe, and I'm doing a lot of work to it to prepare it as a winter expedition truck.

All the suspension is original, and it all needs to be changed. I'd like to lift the truck a little (say 2") as it seems pretty low to the ground compared to my Hilux, and it will be carry a payload throughout the trip. I'm not planning on much extreme off-roading, though it will definitely be doing plenty of miles off the blacktop.

So far from the may threads on the forum, I'm leaning towards OME 906s on the rear with Bilstein shocks.

Has anyone used the Bilstein 4600s with the 906s? Are they a good match? Or would I be better with the 5100s?

Also, as the shocks are gas filled they cannot be sent by airmail from the US, so if anyone had the Bilstein part numbers, I'd really appreciate that as i might be able to get them shipped straight from Germany, which is just next door.

The 5100 are for more of a 3 inch lift ,and can become loose on full flex.if your planning on sticking with the 906 springs then it would probably be recommended to run with 4600
It's all up to you tho,I run 5100 with 906 and I like them so far and flex way better than stock not to harsh for my taste

I recommend the BSN-24-249966 for the rear OME906 and the 2450 for the 99 front tall.
