Camera Mount Locations

I'm guessing that some of you guys film your offroading. I've been filming with a GoPro 3 mounted with a pole mount to the rear-view mirror. It was really easy to set up, but the angle is mediocre and because it's so high up it completely distorts the sense of speed and the perspective of the video. Basically, it works, but it's boring. I'll post an example in a second. It would be cool if people could share their setups for recording and post some videos!

That Buddha man is going crazy!!

I used a suction mount on above and behind the rear wheel on my old wrx. It was a pretty cool view, but seems like it might be hazzardus for wheeling.

Haha yes the Buddha goes insane! It gets annoying in the video, but I refuse to remove the Buddha which is just one more reason to find a new mount point! I've always thought that the suction mounts seemed a little sketchy. I've been thinking about building something that will let me mount it on the little tow loops right under the front bumper.

the suction mount works really well. Ive knocked it against branches and it stayed on. that being said I always have it tied on to something. let me know if you found a better location for it

Good post... I want to see more mounting idea for the GoPro.

I am having a headache now because of watching the Buddha. :-)
