Dealer will not have the rear differential breather plug until next tuesday 6/27/17.

Mine was plugged up and caused the rear axle seal to blow out

can i still safely use my 4runner (2wd) without it ??

There are a bunch of parts for sale in the bay area (2 hours away) that i have been trying to buy but all these repairs have been keeping me from being able to use my 4runner on the highways.

Poke a hole in the old one, you dont want water or dirt getting in there.

Why don't you go to NAPPA, Auto Zone, Orielys Auto Parts, or somewhere like that to get a temp breather? Then swap out for OEM when the dealer gets the part in.

Perfect time to do a diff breather mod too if you wheel your truck at all. Won't ever have to worry about blowing your seal again

I did go to both Oreily's and NAPA they did not have any replacement parts which is why I called the Dealer to inquire if they had the part in stock.
They did not.
The order goes out on Monday then parts arrive on Tuesday. [MENTION=77357]85straight[/MENTION] I planned on ordering the necessary fittings for the breather plug relocation mod when I do go in on Monday.
