I think these little brackets are supposed to be mounted to something. My hardline snapped this weekend and i replaced it. I noticed my bracket had a broken piece and it looks like they bolt on somewhere. Can someone take a pic of there's so i have something to reference

Passenger side, is it supposed to mount where the arrow is

does anyone know what would cause both sides to come off. Maybe they rattled loose, or when I had my bl installed he loosened em ?

IDK, but don't want this to ever happen again, I just recently had my brakes done, I cant believe they didn't notice this.

Those retaining clips can just come loose over time. Really unlikely unless its heavy rust. If you had brake work done it most likely been forgotten to put back or was not pushed back far enough to secure in place. Does not do any damage if your concerned. Just keeps the lines from snagging if you go over something.

Looks like you are talking about the 10mm bolts holding the bracket inplace.. yes someone did remove them.. They just dont come off.. Take it back or just get a bolt and tighten it back.

The line can snap on a snag but I doubt the bracket and bolt would fall out.. If you got it repaired a reputable shop would have caught that and asked you to have it repaired. More than likely they removed it and forgot to put it back.. I would take it back and inform them.
